Presentation Guidelines

 

Oral Presentation

  • Invited speeches are 30 minutes each, including 5 minutes for Q&A 
  • All other talks are 15 minutes each, including at least 5 minutes for discussion. The time limit will be strictly enforced to facilitate flow between sessions.

  • Please send your presentation to hkustcore@ust.hk on or before 17 Oct 2024(UTC+8 17/10/2024, 11:59). Only PowerPoint, KEYNOTE, and PDF files will be accepted. 

  • To ensure the forum is fluent, speakers are not allowed to use their own computers.

  • Arrive at the control panels in front of the stage in the main hall 10 minutes before the start of your session and introduce yourself to the session chair(s).

  • No audio or video recording is allowed.
     

Poster Presentation

  • Date and time: 21 Oct 2024, 16:45-17:45/ 23 Oct 2024, 14:30-17:00; Location: Shaw Auditorium-Foyer Exhibition Space. [Floor Plan]
  • Please download and use the poster template with the forum header: [Download]
  • The poster dimension is suggested to be A0 size [1189mm (height) x 841 mm(weight)] and should be in portrait orientation.
  • Each poster will be assigned a poster number corresponding to its location on the display board.
  • The authors must print the poster and hang the posters on designated panel at Shaw Auditorium-Foyer Exhibition Space before the afternoon sessions on 21 Oct 2024 (UTC+8). All posters must be removed at the end of the forum on 23 Oct 2024 .
  • The poster presenter(s) should be available for the poster session on each day.

 

Language

  • English is the official language of the foum. PowerPoint slides and posters should be in English. Oral talks should also be presented in English.
